By researching the sex industry and seeing a rise in product buying by the over 55s and a general rise in the design and awareness of objects that enable and promote sex I wanted to project this rise into the future.
The project establishes a system whereby sexual acts are encouraged for the over 55s as a health practice. The future painted is where sex has somewhat lost it’s emotional significance – can it be mechanised to a point where it’s sole purpose is for exercise, and to prolong life?
These questions are manifested as a hypothetical future service, and a set of products which enable and encourage the over 55s to have more sex.
