Not part of ‘film a week’- this is a short film made for Innopia a few weeks ago- not that any of the English speakers among you will be able to understand it (a total pain to edit, with my very broken Spanish). The film is to find out what the people of San-Sebastian think ‘green’, or ‘to be green’ is- with varying responses, ranging from the basic “recycle”, to entire life/system changes, some were philosophical, some simple, and some didn’t care, as you might expect really.
Film a week number 4. I may do a re-hash of this in the future with more footage. No special story- just a sunny afternoon in the woods.
To keep myself entertained I am making a film a week (I have been keeping them secret, but I realise it’s important to show people stuff no matter how bad). I’m not sure how long it will last yet i’d love a year (- 52 films!). It’s nothing heavy- just an experiment to teach myself film making- first i’m trying editing to music- I’ve never done it before. So far they have relied on what I happened to be doing that weekend, but I am starting to plan them more now. Next I have a few ideas to work with some guys out here (about stuff rather than just pretty landscapes!)
This is number two: (i don’t like number one enough to post yet) – it is from two weeks ago.

I have found a new hero today. I have been wanting to make a pannier-rack with a bmx attachment to the back of my Surly and start a tour for a while now. This guy provides some pretty good inspiration to get going!
I hate to admit it, but I quite like Jamie Oliver.
This talk made me like him more- he shows a great amount of passion for his cause. I like how he identifies issues surrounding food on a similar scale to climate change, and he talks about it as solvable, or fixable (which I think it is). On a similar line to thoughts about climate change he talks about global corporations taking responsibility and answering to old models of business, and changing them.
I RT’d this a while go, but was going through Alex Brown‘s site and stumbled upon it again.
Alex has done an amazing job, I think this is one a few videos that gives a tingly feeling! Full screen…
